There are no coincidences in life, they say. For that to be true, then the understanding is that Fate would take its course, that it is the only reason why everything makes perfect sense when it comes to true love. Those moments when you're looking into your lovers eyes and you say "Me tooooo....!" A flow of laughter, hugs and kisses follow and nothing beats that warm feeling of familiarity. Elba is no techie. By any means. She is probably the only person in the world who hadn't fallen into the the abyss that is the World Wide Web. No selfies, no online profiles, not even banking online, folks. She stayed far away from the information superhighway unless it was for work. A very private woman, mother of two decided it was too much for little benefit. There are better things to do with my time, she said. Until she got bit by the curiosity bug. For some fateful albeit uncharacteristic reason, she decided to open a Match.com account. She put up a cute pic, wrote some words down and completed her profile. Her affinity for astrology and the moon itself lent her the perfect profile name-"Luna". Some clicks and winks later she happened upon Nionene. Wink-Wink. A friendly smile. A spark ignited. Conversation. First date. They went to an Asian Fusion place. They had Crispy Yellowtail Taquitos and loads of chemistry. There, Elba learned that her date, Joyce, had swiped left 10 times before responding to a wink. All was forgiven when Joyce brought a bag of tootsie rolls, an homage to Elba for calling her Toots! They laughed it off and decided on where to meet for their second date. It's no coincidence that on that second date, the waiter asked if the two were sisters; Elba responded "NO, but I think I love her!" A pause. Then laughter. And kisses. Their shared love for the mystical brought about Joyce naming a star after her new love at their six month celebration.
To the moon and back!
It is no coincidence that they both love owls and monarch butterflies. They released 12 Monarchs and Painted Ladies on their one year anniversary. It's no coincidence that their anniversary falls on the anniversary of the very website they met. Their happiness is infectious. A magnet that pulls you in to their world of giggly, carefree life and exuberant spirit. Can you tell; they could barely keep a straight face during their shoot! Chaos Theory is about how complex the world is. It's so complex, scientists cannot predict what will happen. One small change, like swiping Right on the 11th time, even a seemingly tiny insignificant change has huge consequences (The Butterfly Effect).
It is no coincidence that in a world of chaos, these two found one another!
